How we help

Global Tax Filing for Digital Content Creators

For today's digital creators, audiences and income are truly global. Our international tax accountants for content creators prepare returns that report every income stream, claim foreign tax credits to prevent double taxation, and comply with both HMRC and IRS regulations. We handle foreign income reporting, the tax on royalties and sponsorships, and cross-border filings, keeping every aspect of your international earnings properly reported.

Whether you're a UK-based creator with U.S. partnerships or an American influencer working with global brands, US UK Tax Experts make sure your income is reported once and correctly. We turn complex international tax laws into clear answers about what needs filing and when, so digital creators can grow globally while keeping their returns accurate, compliant, and stress-free.

Questions this sector asks first

The general position on each. What applies to you depends on where you live, where the work is done and who pays.

US platforms withhold tax on the part of your earnings they treat as US-source royalties, such as revenue from viewers in the US. A UK resident who submits Form W-8BEN with a treaty claim generally brings that withholding down to nil. Any tax already withheld is claimed on the UK return.

Digital products sold to consumers are taxed where the customer lives. Sales to UK consumers count towards the UK registration threshold of £90,000, while sales to consumers in EU countries are subject to that country's VAT from the first sale. Sales through a marketplace are often accounted for by the platform.

All of it. Advertising revenue, sponsorships, affiliate commissions, memberships, tips and products received in exchange for content are trading income. They are reported gross, before platform fees, with the fees claimed as an expense.

A UK Self Assessment return and a US return on the same income. UK tax paid is claimed as a foreign tax credit, UK National Insurance applies in place of US self-employment tax, and payment accounts and bank accounts outside the US need an FBAR once their combined balance passes $10,000.
